RYAN PHILLIPPE has given his ex-wife REESE WITHERSPOON and her boyfriend JAKE GYLLENHAAL his blessing.
Phillippe and Witherspoon, who have two children together, ended their eight-year marriage with a divorce last year.
He is now dating Australian starlet Abbie Cornish, while Witherspoon is in a relationship with her Rendition co-star Gyllenhaal.
And Phillippe wishes Witherspoon and Gyllenhaal the best.

Speaking to U.S. radio host Howard Stern on Thursday (20Mar08), Phillippe said, “He’s a good dude. I love her and I want her to be happy, and it seems like she is.” The 33-year-old added that his split from Witherspoon was a “mutual” decision.
He said, “Leading up to it, we had been spending so much time apart. That’s a huge part of it. There are so many obstacles.”

Jake Gyllenhaal is wearing a chunky ankle support after suffering a sporting injury.
The actor was recently spotted out and about in Santa Monica, California, with girlfriend Reese Witherspoon - and limping while wearing the plastic hospital boot.
But Gyllenhaal’s representative insists his injury isn’t severe, telling PageSix.com, ” It’s just a minor thing, he sprained his ankle playing basketball.”

Jake Gyllenhaal, 27, and Reese Witherspoon, 32, are taking their relationship to the next level. During a romantic getaway to NYC last week, the Rendition co-stars popped into Japanese department store Takashimaya, grabbing tea and perusing the home decor section.

“Jake says Reese is a natural at home decorating,” a pal of the two tells OK!. Jake’s sister, Maggie Gyllenhaal, got Reese subscriptions to home design mags Blueprint and Domino.

“Maggie talked to Jake to make sure that Reese would use them,” the friend tells OK!. “He should get a say in how Reese decorates her place since he spends so much time there!”

Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Biel will film a political satire in the Columbia area that was co-written by former Vice President Al Gore’s daughter, state officials announced today.

Here is the plot of the movie, called “Nailed,” according to The Hollywood Reporter:

“Biel plays Sammy Joyce, a socially awkward receptionist who gets hit in the head with a nail in an accident. This triggers her wild, sexual urges which causes her to fight in Washington for the rights of the bizarrely injured. She meets an immoral congressman (Gyllenhaal) who takes advantage of her sex drive and capitalizes on her crusade as Joyce heads into her own career in politics.”

Reps for Kirsten Dunst have hit back at allegations that she turned to drugs and alcohol after her split from Jake Gyllenhaal.

The 25-year-old actress was admitted to Cirque Lodge, in Utah, after a week of partying at last month’s Sundance Film Festival.

Insiders close to the Jake told a U.S. publication that Kirsten’s wild ways were behind the couples split in 2005 after three years.

A source tells Us Weekly, “Jake was turned off by all the partying.”

It was also claimed that “regret over the breakup led her to party more – and use cocaine and alcohol.”

A rep for Kirsten dismissed the split rumours as “downright wrong” and insist “she is not being treated for cocaine or any drug”.
