The political indie comedy Nailed has been shut down for a third time due to financial problems, Variety reports.

The film’s crew were ordered by the International Alliance of Theatrical & Stage Employees (IATSE) guild not to come to work last Thursday after they weren’t paid.

Production was initially halted on May 9 when the movie’s backer Capitol Films failed to deposit enough money into SAG (Screen Actors Guild) accounts to pay the cast. Six days later, IATSE members stopped filming for a second time after not getting paid.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton will star in “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time,” mDisney and Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ adaptation of Ubisoft’s popular video game. Mike Newell is directing.

In the fantasy adventure, Gyllenhaal will play Dastan, a young prince in 6th century Persia who must join forces with Tamina (Arterton), a feisty and exotic princess, to prevent a villainous nobleman from possessing the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.

Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard, Jordan Mechner and Boaz Yakin wrote the script, which is based on the games created by Jordan Mechner.

Bruckheimer is producing, while Mike Stenson, Chad Oman and Patrick McCormick are executive producing.

Bruckheimer praised Gyllenhaal as “charismatic” and has high hopes for Arterton, who tested for the role.

“We’ve been fairly fortunate with some our leading ladies,” Bruckheimer said. “Some of them have gone on to become major movie stars, going back to Nicole Kidman in a movie I did a long time ago called ‘Days of Thunder’ to Keira Knightley out of (’Pirates of the Caribbean’).”

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal spend a day on the beach in Malibu, CA. Both brought their dogs with them Jake’s German Shepherd Atticus and Reese’s pug Coco and enjoyed a picnic.

Jake and Reese grab some lunch together and left in a GMC Yukon Hybrid SUV in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon.

Actor Jake Gyllenhaal of Brokeback Mountain fame and actress Jessica Biel have been asked to leave director David O Russell’s Nailed because of financial issues.

The actors were asked to leave by the Screen Actor’s Guild because the makers of the film have apparently deposited insufficient funds with the guild. The movie is not yet complete and production is only way half way, perezhilton.com reports.

Russell is known for being difficult. He has been in the news earlier for having a fight with George Clooney on the sets of Three Kings and for a tiff with veteran actress Lily Tomlin, which was caught on tape.
